Canada’s Anti-spam Legislation & Primco’s Customers
As businesses like Primco become more reliant on electronic communications to reach our customers, the Government of Canada introduced legislation to limit overuse and prevent abuses of these means of communication.
Canada’s anti-spam legislation (CASL) protects consumers and businesses from the misuse of digital technology, including spam and other electronic threats.
All Canadian businesses are subject to CASL regulation and must adhere to a strict set of guidelines regarding who we may contact, by which method, and how we’ve obtained consent to contact.
If you would like to find more about Canada’s Anti-spam Legislation, and your rights as a consumer, please visit the Government of Canada’s website on CASL.
Primco Communications
Electronic business communications with current customers are permitted under CASL, provided communications are not harmful in quantity or intent.
These communications use implicit consent obtained by entering into mutual business arrangements. Primco uses electronic communications to respond to inquiries, conduct regular business functions like billing and operations, and even increase customer awareness of new programs, services, promotions, and new offerings.
Additional Electronic Communications
Primco engages in other means of communications periodically that require explicit consent, or opt-in agreements for participation. These communications may initially fall under the implicit consent period of six months from our last business activity, but during the course of our interaction you will be asked to provide ongoing consent and be offered the option to opt-out or update your communication preferences.
By completing and submitting the form, you are providing your explicit consent for Primco to contact you as you’ve indicated on the form. You may update your consent or communication preferences at any time.
CASL Consent
Please use this form to update your communication preferences. This includes the withdrawal of explicit consent. Please allow reasonable time frame for any updates or changes to be communicated within Primco.
Indications on this form do not apply to normal business related communications falling under implicit consent. For example necessary business communications originating in Primco’s billing or logistics departments.
