Primco has partnered with western Canada’s four RMHC® Houses to support the great work they do keeping families close during times of medical crisis.
Western Canada’s four RMHC Houses; RMHC® British Columbia & Yukon, RMHC® Alberta, RMHC® Saskatchewan, and RMHC® Manitoba, will receive a portion of every Estates Tile Mosaic product sold.
These funds will be used by the RMHC Houses to support the amazing programs and services they offer. Primco is both honored to be able to work alongside RMHC to support the many deserving families that walk through their doors. Recently Primco was able to host Sandi Ferchau, Stewardship Manager for RMHC Alberta, as a guest on our podcast Know Where You Stand. Listen to the great conversation between Sandi, Cam, and Tyler.

Primco believes that all organizations should behave in an environmentally friendly way as possible. We are making every effort to reduce our carbon footprint, improve energy efficiency, reduce waste, water use and emissions.
One of our initial tasks was converting all our overhead lighting to 100% LED. By switching to LED light bulbs it offers significant energy savings over incandescent, halogen and compact fluorescent alternatives. On average, LEDs consume 80% less energy when compared to incandescent light bulbs.
We are continuously exploring options for recycling, reusing and reducing waste within the warehouse to help divert it from the landfill. Stay tuned for more updates on how Primco is doing their part for environmental sustainability.
Globally: Flooring manufacturers across the globe have certainly carried their weigh in the past for environmental sustainability. Working through different programs they have created, the common goal, reduce the footprint on ecosystems and, keep waste out of landfills.

Ronald McDonald House Charities® Alberta supports families seeking vital medical treatment for their seriously ill or injured child. Our warm, compassionate Houses provide a home-away-from-home for families who need to travel for medical reasons. When those families are experiencing one of life’s most difficult times – we offer them the gift of togetherness.
If you ask any child what their favorite part of the Ronald McDonald House is – you’ll probably hear two words, “Magic Room”. These uniquely tailored spaces are full of brand new toys, gift cards, and more for children to take home with them. Children visit the “Magic Room” on various occasions, including a birthday or even a milestone in treatment.
Primco was honoured to provide materials for RMH Edmonton’s “Magic Room,” and other high traffic areas. We are so excited to see the final results and be a part of such a great charity.

What are Habitat ReStores and how do they help my community?
Habitat for Humanity ReStores are home and building supply stores that accept and resell quality new and used building materials. Shopping at your local Habitat ReStore is a socially conscious decision, as funds generated are used to fund Habitat for Humanity Southern Alberta home building projects. It’s also an environmentally conscious decision, as much of what is sold is product that is new, gently used or customer returns that would otherwise end up in a landfill.
Primco has provided the Restore with several “Color Convenience Kits” earlier this year. This rolled vinyl flooring will help local families keep their homes in good repair during trying times. We are always looking for ways to help out in our community and knowing that local families get an opportunity to keep their home looking nice and it helps us keep extra product out of the landfill.

The work done by the Canadian Cancer Society is a cause near and dear to many of us at Primco.
Every year, the Canadian Cancer Society’s (CCS) Daffodil Campaign unites Canadians to take action for the nearly half of Canadians expected to be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
This spring, hope is more. More than a word, more than a feeling. Hope is action. Breakthrough discoveries, quiet acts of care, roars of support. These are the things that give hope life. That make it bloom. So that more people with cancer can live longer, fuller lives. And that’s why we need your donation to make it all happen.
Your donation to this year’s Daffodil Campaign will fund nationwide support programs that offer comfort and connection – and world-leading research to transform the future of cancer.

Primco has been recycling the Mannington Sheet vinyl kraft paper wrapping for many years. When a roll is put on table for cutting, the mill wrapping is removed, folded and placed aside to be used again for another cut. This dramatically reduces the amount of Kraft paper we consume.
Primco also recycles the wood pallet toppers. The wood toppers have been used to build new pallets when needed or to reinforce existing pallets when they are not as secure as should be. Rarely are these wood toppers dispose in dumpsters. In the event our supply builds in excess, we advertise them on Kijiji for pick up by any who can find use.
